This Saturday, investigative journalist Aiko Kempen (ARD-Monitor, Zeit Online, taz) worked out the relationship between journalists and police with interested media makers. In the abstract, the topic was the professional handling of the police as a source and/or subject of reporting.
With numerous practical examples from his work, the workshop highlighted the following points:
Who are the police?
How do I evaluate information from the police?
How do I get information from the police?
How do I get information about the police?
The police in action.
The workshop will also be held by Aiko Kempen as a lecture for the students of the M.Sc. Journalism at the University of Leipzig. -> Institute for Communication and Media Studies
